This was our first time here and we all enjoyed our food. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff is so friendly and the decor great. We will be returning soon, can’t wait to bring more friends. It is a bit small so come early.

While back in SD visiting friends we were looking for a breakfast spot and the Lunch Box came highly recommended. When we arrived parking was tight with limited spaces but we found a spot on the street with no problem. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our server came over promptly and started our order right away. Our food came out fast and was hot and to order. Everything was good and tasted great. Overall the restaurant was clean , the service was good and the food was good as well. It wasn't loud and the atmosphere was great. We were very pleased with everything and will definitely return when we are back in town.

Wow. This place is so cute and beautiful. Fresh flowers everywhere, baked goods showing, great food. They have fresh muffins, breakfast and lunch options. Great prices. We had the La Mesa omelet or the one with bacon and avocado. Country Benedict, Greek salad with chicken, and the Spinach croissant.
This little deli is hidden in la mesa. It's a small venue, but everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly.We had the country benedict, half order, which was perfect, the kids hamburger.And the Huevos rancheros. I recommend supporting this local business.. The food was much better than some of these high and brunch spots at reasonable prices.
This is the BEST place for Breakfast, Brunch & Lunch!! Everything I've had is delicious! The biscuits & gravy are the best I've ever had! The chili is hearty and perfect. I've never had better orange juice either! Oh! And the baskery items... to die for!
On a whim, I ate at this restaurant which is located in a strip mall with a cramped parking lot. Restaurant is sandwiched between 7-11 and a dry cleaner. I came around 1:15pm and was lucky to find parking space. Restaurant closes at 2pm. Restaurant is small, quaint and has a friendly vibe that offers local and good, affordable food. They have outdoor seatings so I sat outdoor to enjoy the sun and fresh air. Ordered a curry chicken sandwich on grilled raisin bread and a spring mix salad with candied walnuts, cranberries, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes. There were two sandwiches that came with a bag of potato chips and a cookie. The curry chicken sandwich filling was piled high. I got full after eating one sandwich and packed the other sandwich to go. As for the salad, I was surprised how generous it was in a large bowl. It too came with a cookie. The salad was fresh, cherry tomatoes tasted like they were freshly picked and sweet. I ate only 1/4 of the salad and packed the rest to go. Waitstaff was attentive and checked on me a few times. This place reminds me that time has stand still, homey place, generous and quality food at a budget friendly price point. You can tell this is a local favorite as silver foxes were here and they know what a good meal is.This place is pet friendly on the outside tables. I will be back to try the breakfast items and baked goods.
Super cute hidden gem! Much bigger than meets the eye! Great smelling and looking baked goods, friendly and fast wait staff, really nice variety of options to pick from. We were able to get seated right away, there seemed to be quite a lot of regulars there for brunch (always a good sign), they were quick with our drinks and our food order, options for breakfast or lunch all sounded great, they were tag-teaming refills and check ins, even accommodating with air flow (breezy morning) and adjusting doors. Everything was in plenty pirtion wise and tasty! Definitely going to come back and try more!
